The Classics
Thoreau and Emerson are two of my all time favorite authors to quote. I seem to love just about every word they’ve ever written. Since the last few months of the blog have seemed to focus a lot on strength, on pushing yourself to new levels, on being bold and practicing fearless living – I thought today’s inspirational thought would be great.
Because I know that as we grow, we are not only expanding, we’re getting stornger, often through our ability to let go of our old selves, our ego, and all of its attachments.
Have a great day!
“Be not the slave of your own past,
Olunge deep into the sublime seas,
Dive deep, and swim far,
So you shall come back
with self-respect, with new power
with an advanced experience,
that shall explain and overlook
the Old.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
